Dr. Ali has been practicing as an orthopedic surgeon for over 20 years in Canada and since 1997 in Cayman. He is a subspecialist in primary and revision hip and knee replacement. He has performed more than 5000 joint replacements in Canada and more than 300 in Cayman. He has also been a consultant and surgical instructor for companies such as Depuy and Biomet. He continues to be a lecturer for the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.
In the Cayman Orthopaedic Group Dr. Ali has been gratified to be part of a group subspecialty practice, which provides Cayman’s people with direct access to Canadian specialists who deliver care in their own specialties, including hip arthroscopy, shoulder arthroscopy and replacement, knee arthroscopy, sports injuries and more.
Dr. Ali received his Bachelor of Science in Physiology, Gold Medalist, University of Toronto, and his medical degree from McMaster University. He completed his surgical internship in Toronto, his orthopedic surgery residency at McMaster University, and a fellowship in hip/knee replacement in Toronto. Dr. Ali is board certified in Canada and has been board certified in the U.S.
