Dr. Starkman is Medical Director and founder of New York Neurology Associates. He trained at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Medical Center and is Board Certified in neurology with a subspecialty certification in pain medicine. He has been practicing neurology and pain medicine since 1996 and is a pioneer in the use of Botox and radiofrequency ablation treatment for chronic pain.
Dr. Starkman is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Academy of Pain Medicine, International Spine Intervention Society, and American Society of Neuroimaging. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Columbia University Medical Center and a clinical attending at Beth Israel Medical Center.
Dr. Starkman and his associates visit Cayman Neurology and Pain Management Ltd. in West Shore Center on a twice-monthly basis.
